Castlepollard Local Development & Kore Retrofit Energizing Rural Communities

An information evening, including the launch of a new energy scheme ‘The Community Energy Grants Scheme 2020’, Wednesday the 23rd of October 2019, Hotel Castlepollard, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath, from 7pm-9pm.

Castlepollard Local Development and ORS in conjunction with KORE Retrofit is seeking expressions of interest from Homeowners, Community Organisations and Commercial Businesses to participate in the new energy retrofitting scheme funded by SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland).

The type of work will include the installation of high efficiency windows and doors, installation of heat pumps, wood pellet boilers, high efficiency wood stoves, fully integrated heating controls upgrade, with older houses having external insulation being fitted, other measures include cavity wall insulation, ceiling level attic insulation and electric vehicle charging points.

Community organisations and commercial businesses can avail of additional measures as part of a whole fabric upgrade, including electric vehicle charging points and street lighting including lighting for car parks.

Mullingar Nissan will be in attendance from 6pm offering test drives on Nissan Leaf Electric Vehicles. Please ensure you bring your full drivers licence if you wish to have a test drive.
