Friday, 19th October was a tremendous night for KORE as we collected two awards at the Cavan Business & Tourism Awards 2018.

The awards were held at the Slieve Russell Hotel in Ballyconnell, where businesses from around Cavan were shortlisted for awards in categories such as Community Spirit Gold Award, Best in Customer Service Award and Most Innovative Business Award.

KORE at Cavan Business & Tourism Awards 2018

We won the Most Innovative Business Award, where KORE demonstrated our innovative capabilities in developing new products for the market, and linking our product innovation to environment sustainability. KORE are currently participating in the InterTrade Ireland Fusion Programme where we employ a graduate to work with us on product development. KORE helps fund this partnership with InterTrade Ireland, and allows the graduate to be employed with us for 18 months while attending classes at Southwest College.

Paulina is a qualified chemical engineer and is currently assisting our technical team in developing new EPS products for the market. This programme is hugely beneficial to us and Paulina as we exchange ideas, skills and knowledge in the industry, all while having innovation at the forefront of our minds. Paulina we believe is an emerging talent, and plays a key role in developing new products, and we are extremely delighted to have her as part of the KORE team.

KORE win overall business of the year at Cavan Business & Tourism Awards 2018

We also won Business of the Year, which was an honour to us. KORE have been in Cavan for 21 years now, and we pride ourselves on being a family run Cavan business, who support the local community.

KORE participated in the 2017 Cavan Better Energy Community Scheme in 2017 with huge success. As well as providing employment opportunities in the local area, KORE, with funding from SEAI, upgraded 11 community-owned vacant apartments in Belturbet, Two additional community organisations Ramor G.F.C. and Killinkere G.F.C, upgrading them to a Building Energy Rating of between B1 and A2.

KORE are currently in the midst of the 2018 Cavan Better Energy Community Schemes and are working on two G.A.A. clubs, four commercial premises, 11 fuel poor homes and two private homes. We also support our local community by donating to non-profit organisations, participating in local charity events and spreading awareness at a local level of the grants and incentives available to homeowners who are facing or currently experiencing fuel poverty.
