2025 was a landmark year for KORE Insulation, defined by innovation, growth, and leadership across manufacturing, sustainability, and the built environment. From national awards and major site deployments to operational investment and people development, the year reflected both the scale of our ambition and the strength of our delivery.
Awards, Recognition & Industry Profile
Recognition at national level was a defining feature of 2025. The KORE Group was proud to secure a major win at the Irish Construction Excellence (ICE) Awards, where KORE Insulation was recognised in the Construction Product Innovation category for our Low Carbon EPS, acknowledging our commitment to reducing embodied carbon while maintaining the performance and reliability required by modern construction.
Leadership and culture were also recognised. Caroline Ashe Brady, Commercial & Sustainability Director, received the Excellence in Senior Leadership (Contractor / Sub-Contractor) award at the Women in Construction Awards, while KORE Group was shortlisted for Best Health & Wellbeing Strategy at the HR Leadership & Management Awards, recognising our company-wide Wellness Week.
Further reinforcing our position in the sector, KORE Insulation was selected as a finalist at the Irish Building & Design Awards 2025 and shortlisted for Manufacturer of the Year at the Manufacturing Excellence Awards 2025, recognition that reflects consistency in quality, innovation, and operational excellence.
Our EU-funded Circular Reno project also gained national attention, becoming a finalist at both the SEAI Energy Awards 2025 and the Irish Building & Design Awards. The project demonstrated a low-carbon, prefabricated retrofit approach using bio-based materials, delivering BER improvements from D2 to A1, reducing onsite waste by 20%, and minimising disruption for occupants, a scalable model for the future of retrofit.
Events, Engagement & Knowledge Sharing
Throughout 2025, KORE Insulation remained highly engaged across the industry through exhibitions, conferences, webinars, and CPDs. We participated in major events including the SEAI Energy Show, Self Build Show, Ideal Home Show, UK & Ireland Passive House Conference, MMC Conference, ZEB Summit, Architecture & Building Expo, and Construction Watch by HomeBond.
We also hosted and contributed to a strong programme of webinars, including KORE-led sessions on misconceptions around the KORE Insulated Foundation System and embodied carbon and low-carbon construction, alongside participation in industry-hosted webinars.
In-person CPDs were delivered nationwide throughout the year, supporting designers, contractors, and specifiers, with bookings now open for 2026.
International engagement included attendance at the 7th European ETICS Forum in Milan, where Brian Flax, Marketing & Technology Director at KORE Insulation, joined Henry Sheahan, Chair of the National Insulation Association of Ireland (NIAI). Discussions focused on the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and the urgent need to scale renovation rates across Europe to meet Green Deal and decarbonisation targets.
On Site: Delivering at Scale
2025 saw KORE insulation solutions specified and installed across a record number of sites in Ireland and the UK. Our products were used on major residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects, from one-off self-builds and eco-villages to large-scale multi-unit developments.
KORE Floor and KORE Fill were deployed across numerous large developments nationwide, including in Dublin and Wicklow. One standout project in County Cork is currently delivering over 700 units using KORE’s Insulated Foundation System and Void Formers, with a further 400-unit development underway, demonstrating confidence in our systems at scale.
One highlight of the year was a cohousing project in Duneridge, Scotland, using KORE’ Insulated Foundation System on site, with Greenleaf Building & Design, comprising 16 dwellings and shared community spaces. This is one to watch, with a full case study planned for 2026.
The system also reached a national TV audience in 2025, featuring on Channel 4’s Grand Designs, highlighting its role in high-performance, low-carbon construction.
Product Performance & Demonstration
Demonstrating performance through evidence remained central to our approach. In 2025, we showcased the structural capability of EPS 300, stacking three 1,580kg Kelly Blocks, that’s over 4.5 tonnes, on a single EPS sheet, with no visible deformation. The demonstration highlighted that more than seven blocks would be required to reach design strength, and over 24 blocks to produce visible compression, reinforcing confidence in EPS as a loadbearing solution.
Operations, Innovation & Investment
Significant investment in operations underpinned our growth in 2025. We installed 380 solar panels on the roof of our production facility, delivering a 378 kWh system with inverter and battery storage, a further step on our journey to net zero.
Recent factory expansions and the installation of advanced automated cutting and packaging systems significantly enhanced production capacity, precision, and consistency. By automating key stages from EPS block cutting through to final wrapping, we increased output while reinforcing our commitment to quality and efficiency.
Innovation through partnership also remained key. We continued our long-standing collaboration with Austrotherm, welcoming colleagues from the Netherlands to Ireland to strengthen relationships and explore future opportunities in high-performance XPS insulation.
In parallel, KORE achieved several major certification milestones in 2025, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001, reflecting our commitment to quality, environmental management, health & safety, and energy performance.
We also expanded our logistics capability, adding newly branded KORE Insulation trucks to our fleet, enhancing delivery capacity and strengthening brand visibility nationwide.
Sustainability & Leadership
Sustainability leadership remained a cornerstone of KORE Insulation. Across the wider KORE Group, we reached a national milestone by achieving Ireland’s first verified GHG inventories, aligning climate reporting with internationally recognised standards.
KORE continued to engage at policy level through the National Insulation Association of Ireland, meeting Minister Darragh O’Brien TD to discuss retrofit targets, funding, capacity, and sustainable sector growth. We also proudly joined over 70 organisations behind the #CopenhagenCommitment, pledging to accelerate Europe’s building renovation and decarbonisation journey.
Our Project & Sustainability Engineer, Akshay Sawant, represented KORE at the Skillnet Ireland Climate Ready Academy Sustainability Summit, contributing to discussions on how continuous training is driving meaningful change across industries.
People, Culture & Community
Our people remain central to everything we do. In 2025, KORE Insulation grew by approximately 20%, welcoming new team members across technical, production, logistics, and support roles. Alongside this growth, we invested heavily in education and upskilling, with team members undertaking advanced training and postgraduate programmes at institutions including UCD, Trinity College Dublin, Galway Mayo Institute of Technology, and others.
Wellbeing and culture continued to be prioritised through Summer Wellness Week, International Women’s Day, International Men’s Day, CIF Safety Week, and World Green Building Week. Our partnership with The Lighthouse Charity supported mental health awareness, while fundraising initiatives included Pink Mornings for Breast Cancer Ireland, Denim Day for Dementia, and support for Spina Bifida Ireland.
We remained deeply connected to our local communities, sponsoring Crosserlough GFC, supporting Virginia RFC, and sponsoring the match ball for Glasheen AFC’s Munster Junior Cup fixture. Our People of KORE blogs continued to share the stories, values, and expertise behind the brand.
In 2025, we were also proud to become a member of the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) and to host Mount Lucas for on-site NZEB Fundamental Awareness training, delivering hands-on education for subcontractors and employees over multiple days.
Looking Ahead
As we close out 2025, we do so with pride in our people, our partners, and the projects that continue to shape a more sustainable built environment. From award-winning innovation and operational investment to education, community, and climate leadership, this year has reinforced KORE Insulation’s role as a trusted, forward-thinking manufacturer.
We look forward to building on this momentum in 2026, continuing to innovate, collaborate, and deliver high-performance insulation solutions that support a low-carbon future.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at KORE Insulation.
