KORE Floor Insulation ticks all the boxes

Premier Engineering Ltd chose 160mm KORE Floor EPS70 Silver on this timber frame development for many reasons, including:

  • Easy integration with screeds and concrete on site
  • Cost-effective
  • Meets Part L 2019 Building Regulations, achieving a u-value of 0.15W/m2k
  • Delivery of material on schedule with the construction timeline
  • Superior technical backup and support

The seamless integration of KORE Floor on-site meant fewer processes with no need for a separation layer with EPS. As a water-resistant material, working with EPS on site was not dictated by weather conditions, easily installed in damp conditions without the need to worry about mould growth, water absorption, or rot. The rigid boards were installed easily and quickly, free from toxins and harmful emissions.

The KORE technical department provided the customer with all the required paperwork needed to comply with Irish Building regulations such as CE marking, DOP and NSAI certification. KORE also provided a comprehensive technical service completing thermal U-value calculations to assist the client in maximising cost savings by using EPS. KORE also engagesd with the architectural and engineering teams on behalf of the customer to achieve project success.

Expanded Polystyrene floor insulation will last the lifetime of the building, making it a sustainable product that can easily be recycled at the end of its useful life.

Project Architect/Engineer & Assigned certifier on the project is McCardle Doyle, Dundalk. You’ll find the phased layout plan below.
