Since stepping into the role of Managing Director in 2009, Noel Brady has remained focused on growing KORE Insulation with a strong emphasis on sustainability, energy efficiency, and innovative insulation solutions. Founded in 1997, KORE is, at its heart a family business. Noel credits much of his success to his father, Tommy Brady. Tommy’s vision and hard work laid the foundation for what KORE is today, and Noel continues to build on that legacy. Like his father before him, Noel has a passion for engineering and problem-solving, striving to find new ways to build and evolve the construction industry. With Noel there is a clear appreciation for the work he does, carrying himself with an attitude of continuous learning.
He believes that mistakes are a part of the learning process, quoting, “A man that has never made a mistake has never made anything.” This mindset. along side his personable character has helped KORE navigate challenges over the years, reinforcing the idea that tenacity and agility go hand in hand.
Alongside his wife of 20 years, Caroline, Noel has overseen the introduction of industry-leading products and services. Notable achievements include the implementation of the KORE ICF System in 2006 —one of the first of its kind at the time— .The development of The KORE Fill Cavity Wall Insulation System and the KORE Insulated Foundation System— the first of its kind to be NSAI-approved in Ireland which has helped improve the energy performance of buildings across Ireland, NI and the UK. Noel was also involved in developing Ireland’s first testing and certification methods for topping up partial-fill cavity walls, ensuring safer and more effective insulation practices.
Beyond insulation, Noel has had the opportunity to work on a range of engineering projects alongside industry partners. Collaborating with SDC Trailers and Maw Engineering, KORE helped develop custom-built trailers that have made transporting products more efficient. He has also worked with PJ Edwards on CAD drawings for void formers, which have been used in projects like the Spire, the Luas lines, and other major developments in Dublin. These collaborations reflect a shared commitment to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
The KORE Team- A Commitment to Continuous Improvement
Noel is the first to say that KORE’s progress is a team effort. His achievements wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the entire KORE team. Together, they’ve continually refined processes, embraced new technologies, and made thoughtful changes to ensure a better future. Some recent highlights include the installation of a fully automated cutting line, which now runs with minimal intervention, doubles production output, reduces lead times, and delivers consistently high-quality results. The incorporation of energy meters on key equipment has allowed for the precise measurement of energy use, resulting in a smaller environmental footprint and the shift from diesel forklifts to electric ones all showcase KORE’s commitment to sustainable practices.
Engagement with Community and Industry
The opportunity to engage in Industry and the Community is one Noel values. KORE has been able to play a meaningful role in Irelands insulation, new build and retrofit markets contributing to industry advancements and community support initiatives, these include:
- Being a Founding Member of the National Insulation Association of Ireland (NIAI) – Advocating for best practices and advancements in insulation. Noel has worked to share knowledge and help the industry move forward.
- Collaborating with SEAI, NSAI & on Various Schemes and industry standards – Partnerships with organisations like SEAI & NSAI Help to improve energy efficiency in homes for homeowners across Ireland NI & the UK
- The Sponsorship of Cornafean GFC & Local Teams – Closer to home, Noel values KORE’s involvement in local initiatives, fostering community engagement and staying connected to the local community.
- Prioritising Mentorship & Career Development – Mentorship is a rewarding aspect of Noels work, seeing the KORE team grow in their careers is a full circle moment. He appreciates the hard work and dedication of everyone he works with and takes pride in contributing to their professional development.
Looking Ahead: Building a better future together
As KORE continues to evolve, the company’s focus remains on sustainability, efficiency, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in insulation and construction. But at the heart of it all, it’s still rooted in the same things—problem-solving, learning as we go, and working as a team to build something that stands the test of time. KORE never forgets where it started; staying grounded in the same values established by Tommy Brady back in 1997, for that is the foundation that still drives everything we do today.
