KORE Insulated Foundation System Achieves Certified Passive House Component Status

Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan – KORE Insulation is delighted to announce that the KORE Insulated Foundation System has been officially awarded Certified Passive House Component status by the Passive House Institute (PHI), in the category Construction System. The certification was granted last Friday, 17th April 2026.

This internationally recognised certification confirms that the KORE Insulated Foundation System meets the stringent performance criteria required for use in Passive House buildings. It provides designers, builders and clients with independent assurance that the system performs to the highest standards expected in sustainable construction.

As a certified Passive House Component, the KORE Insulated Foundation System has been rigorously assessed for thermal performance, detailing and suitability within the Passive House methodology. Foundations are a critical junction in any building, and the KORE system is designed to minimise heat loss while providing a robust, buildable solution on site.
